Three simple, yet effective steps
2. Put them outside
3. Plump up
Set the suction on your vacuum cleaner to a low setting. If you have an upholstery attachment, use it to give your cushion a complete vacuuming.
Get your scatter cushions as clean and dry as you can before you begin to fill them up. Cushions may accumulate moisture over time, which may make them lifeless and flat.
Placing scatter cushions outside in the sun or pinning them to your washing line can help them dry completely and restore their fresh scent. If that is not a possibility, tumble dry them for 15 to 30 minutes on a low setting.
Now that your throw pillows are nice and clean, you'll want to fill them out, which is when it gets tactile and significantly more exciting!
Your cushion should be thrown on the ground from all sides. By allowing oxygen to flow and revive them, this helps to loosen the fibers inside. Additionally, this is an excellent opportunity to securely vent any frustration!
To ensure that there is no clumping left in the fibers, you may also try giving your cushion a firm massage on all sides.
